The Intratumoral Immunotherapy Symposium 2026 is an intensive two-day training program, jointly organized by Gustave Roussy, dedicated to intratumoral immunotherapy—an innovative therapeutic approach aimed at stimulating the immune response directly within tumors.
Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles, historical evolution, and most recent clinical developments in this rapidly advancing field. The program combines scientific lectures, clinical case studies, innovative drug delivery technologies, and discussions on regulatory and operational aspects. Objectifs pédagogiques
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Understand the principles and historical development of intratumoral immunotherapy, from Coley’s toxins to the most recent clinical approvals.
- Identify intratumoral agents currently in clinical development, their promising results, and local therapeutic approaches beyond immunotherapy.
- Explore innovative delivery technologies, including image-guided, bronchoscopic, and intracranial administration.
- Apply lesion selection strategies for injection based on tumor biology, imaging, and ImmunoPET.
- Monitor and analyze therapeutic responses using RECIST, IT RECIST, radiomics, and biomarkers.
- Draw lessons from phase III intratumoral clinical trials and understand clinical, operational, and regulatory challenges.
- Design and plan intratumoral clinical trials in accordance with SITC recommendations and integrate local therapies into the patient care pathway, from neoadjuvant settings to metastatic disease.
- Promote cross-sector collaboration and strategic discussion to accelerate the development of new intratumoral therapies.
