Description of the training course

Gustave Roussy Education’s Master Classes aim to share the latest knowledge on a specific subject, discuss the latest medical and scientific news, and explore short-term prospects in the field.

The primary goal of this masterclass is to equip healthcare professionals—including physicians, dentists, and physical therapists—with a comprehensive understanding of photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy. By the end of the training, participants will be able to critically assess the scientific foundations, clinical applications, and therapeutic benefits of PBM, and integrate this innovative approach into their practice to enhance patient outcomes

By the end of this masterclass, participants will be able to:

Define the key principles and terminology related to photobiomodulation (PBM).

Recall the historical development and scientific foundations of PBM therapy.

2.      Understand

Explain the mechanisms of action of PBM at the cellular and tissue levels.

Describe the physiological effects and therapeutic indications of PBM across medical, dental, and rehabilitation contexts.

3.      Apply

Identify appropriate clinical scenarios for the use of PBM in their respective fields.

Demonstrate how to select and adjust PBM parameters (wavelength, dose, duration) based on patient needs.

4.      Analyze

Compare different PBM devices and protocols in terms of efficacy and safety.

Evaluate clinical case studies to determine the suitability of PBM interventions.
