Centre Jean Perrin has hospital and teaching expertise in nuclear medicine, pathology, oncogenetics, surgery, radiotherapy and oncologic medicine, which means it is able to develop significant treatment, teaching and research activities, and to welcome senior registrars, interns and externs. It works in conjunction with the university hospital, with which it has formed a health cooperation group called IRUCA (Institut régional universitaire de cancérologie d’Auvergne-Auvergne regional university hospital oncology institute). It forms part of a partnership between public and private hospitals in the region, materialised by an oncology treatment network (the Oncauvergne network).
