UNICANCER innovation award

The UNICANCER innovation award is the only award dedicated to oncology in France. It highlights innovating initiatives in French Comprehensive Cancer Centres (FCCCs).

Awarded projects can be easily reproduced in other FCCCs. By creating this award in 2014, UNICANCER meant to inspire other hospitals and encourage the spread of innovating projects, for the benefit of its patients.

Criteria for the award are:

  • Innovation
  • Reproducibility in other Centres
  • Benefits for patients
  • Positive impact on the Centres’ organisation

For the fourth edition, the UNICANCER innovation awards will be given on October 9, 2017, in Montpellier, at the French Comprehensive Cancer Centres Convention (French)

 

Categories

The UNICANCER innovation award has 5 categories:

Finalists can also be granted

  • The jury Grand Prize
  • The jury special award
  • The FCCCs employees special award

 

A three-stage selection process

A preliminary jury, composed of members of UNICANCER strategic committees, selects finalists for each category

A final jury of experts from major healthcare and public health organisations, patients associations, media and from UNICANCER chooses awardees for each category, for the jury Grand Prize and special award

FCCCs employees vote online for their special award.
